Tarlac State University will host the 2022 Culture and the Arts Association of State Universities and Colleges - Region III (CAASUC III) competition as it received the chairmanship of the CAASUC III Board of Management.
Culture and Arts Section Head Prof. Marcelino P. Balanquit was appointed as the Executive Chairperson of CAASUC 3 Board of Management in a turnover ceremony yesterday (March 30, 2022) at the TSU Hotel, Lucinda Campus.
As chair, Prof. Balanquit will oversee the planning and organization of the upcoming culture and the arts activities in the region.
Together with Prof. Balanquit, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Erwin P. Lacanlale received the official documents and materials for CAASUC III from former chairperson Ms. Cecile L. Lapitan, Socio-cultural Director of Tarlac Agricultural University.
In his message of commitment, Dr. Lacanlale assured the members of the board that the university gladly accepts the challenge of hosting the 2022 CAASUC III.
“Through the leadership of the pride of Tarlac State University, Prof. Mar Balanquit, we will sustain the legacies and accomplishments made by CAASUC – if not to surpass what we have achieved or attained before. We hope that you will give the same support just like what you did for Tarlac Agricultural University,” Dr. Lacanlale said.
Twelve out of 13 coordinators from Region III state universities and colleges were present at the said event.
